3rd and 4th Grade Co-Ed:
Computer Animation, Games and Coding Games and Interactive Art using Scratch
June 1-5, 2015
Using interactive creative activities and puzzles campers will learn computational thinking and the basics of computer programming. Use conditional logic, algorithmic thinking and problem decomposition in basic forms of human communication and computer play to learn about coding and programming . Work on fundamental concepts and terminology of software application development while having fun interacting with computer games, empowering the next generation of computer programmers! Solve puzzles by programming visual code blocks to achieve the goal of each game. Campers do not need any prior experience with programming or technology for this exciting hands-on camp.

Robots take the flag and other sports!

Robotics enables campers to use their creativity to design, build and program robots! In this educational camp assemble a team robot and program your robot using various sensors, developing your interest, skill and knowledge of robotics and learn mechanical properties through programming. Working in a small team, design your robot to compete in fun real-world challenges like capture-the flag, robo-soccer, obstacle courses, tag, maze solving, and much more! Each day, camp will bring new challenges, as your team’s robot develops and morphs. Robots built by students will enter an electrifying sports themed competition and demonstration at the end of the camp. *Robots are the property of Red Stick Robotics and will not be sent home at the end of the camp
5th-6th Grade Girls Only
Robotics in Rhythm

Designed specifically for girls to expand interest in the world of STEM. Use robotic technology as a fun and challenging way to explore engineering, electronics, and programming with girl power! Work in teams to design, construct, and program a robot with sensors and Bluetooth capability to autonomously dance. Use your robot to find your jam and create your own rhythm of music! Put your robot to the test at the end of the week as you showcase your work at our final day showcase! *Robots are the property of Red Stick Robotics and will not be sent home at the end of the camp.
7th-8th Grade Co-Ed:

Get a glimpse of what it is like to be a real Engineer! Learn mechanical properties through programming. Learn a range of programming and design concepts to create your team's modern day robots! Learn about the latest robotics technology being developed in computer science labs around the world. As a small team, add multiple sensors to your robot to compete in fun real-world challenges like robo-soccer, obstacle courses, capture-the-flag, tag, maze solving, and much more! Each day, camp will bring new challenges, as your team’s robot develops, expands with advance sensors and morphs to better win the electrifying sports themed competition and demonstration at the end of the camp. *Robots are the property of Red Stick Robotics and will not be sent home at the end of the camp

ROCKETS! Flying High: High Altitude Fun
July 13-17, 2015
Learn about unmanned high altitude flight, such as is used in rockets, jets and weather balloons. Explore the science of flight and related topics such as gravity, lift, thrust, drag and air pressure. With a partner, design, build, and fly a model rocket. Work together to make your rocket more stable as you learn about propulsion and flight. Develop skills and procedures required for a safe launch and recovery of your rocket. Using the smart components you will have in-flight tasks to complete with your rocket such as using Arduino to record the air pressure or altitude data on it's excursion into the atmosphere. *Rockets and smart components are the property of Red Stick Robotics and will not be sent home at the end of the camp
Robotics Engineering Academy

Engineers and computer programmers love robotics! This dynamic coed summer camp offers high school students an exciting platform for learning about areas rich with career opportunities spanning science, engineering and math. Work with a teammate to build and program a smart robot using Arduino and compete against other teams robots. Write programming code and select your sensors to create the smartest robot to win the end of the week competition. *Robots are the property of Red Stick Robotics and will not be sent home at the end of the camp
